This Nebbiolo D'Alba is a great alternative to a pricier Barolo. Nebbiolo is the grape used to create Barolo, a highly collectible wine often referred to as the, "Wine of Kings." A good affordable Nebbiolo is always a great entree into this noble grape.
In 1958, Arnaldo Rivera, created a co-operative of grape-growers. This label is a collaboration between the co-operative and an Italian wine importer with the goal of producing top-quality Nebbiolo.
This beautifully aromatic Nebbiolo begins with notes of spearmint, fresh tobacco and leather. The palate is silky smooth with dried cherry fruit, toffee, spice and fine tannins on the finish.
